Eight no-shows a week. That was Funmi Okafor's number before booking deposits. Two months later: one. The mechanic is simple — when a customer puts down ₦1,000 to book, they remember the appointment. So we built it.
What's new
Starting today, any business on the Growing Shop plan or above can require a deposit at booking. Set the amount per service (a five-minute brow-shaping might be ₦500, a four-hour braid ₦5,000). The deposit gets credited against the final bill. If the customer no-shows, you keep it.

Settings → Bookings → Deposits. Toggle on, set per-service amounts, save. Your existing booking link refreshes automatically.
How it works for your customers
- They open your booking link (the one you share on Instagram or WhatsApp).
- They pick a service and time. The deposit is shown clearly on the next screen.
- They pay — card, transfer, or USSD — via your existing Paystack or Flutterwave setup.
- Confirmation lands in WhatsApp. So does the 24-hour reminder, and the 1-hour reminder.
What you can configure
- Per-service amount. Charge less for a quick service, more for one that ties up a chair.
- Refundable or not. Most merchants make deposits non-refundable on no-shows but credit-back on rescheduled bookings.
- Customer-type rules. Skip the deposit for your top-50 customers — Enimara remembers them automatically.
This is one of those features that takes 90 seconds to enable and shifts your week in a way you'll notice by Friday. We'd love to hear how it goes — message us on WhatsApp once you've tried it.
"I doubled my booked Saturdays. Cancellations went from normal to rare. I keep wondering why this wasn't already there." — Funmi Okafor, Funmi Couture
